I bought one of those quilt calculators but have never used it. I just do the math myself.

I always try to do the math. It keeps my brain working.

I always figure out a way to make it work. Most of my quilting doesn't require a lot of math.

I do the math. Although I do pull out my proportional scale to figure out the percentage that something needs to be increased or decreased on a copier.

For me it depends. Sometimes I do both.

Simple math I do in my head. Math with fractions I use pen and paper. I haven't done anything that involves complicated math since school but would use my phone or computer for those answers.

I do the math when I can. I wasn't great in math in school but I try to figure it out if I can. If I get stumped, I'll go to a calculator or computer.

I usually do the math, but I'm getting spoiled by my Alexa (which lives in my sewing room). It's so convenient to just ask Alexa the math questions! Easier than finding my calculator in that room, anyway!

When I used to balance my checkbook by hand I was really good at quickly doing simple arithmetic in my head, but since I've been using online banking for so many years now, I find I have to actually stop and think a bit, even for basic subtraction.

I do the math, except for the Magic 8, I started w/ a chart for it, but now keep my own chart of my starting size to finished hst size. I have made many sizes now so look at my chart to decide what size square to start with.
