and don't you know you forgot about it?? It's Sunday, all stores are closed so you CAN'T purchase ANY new fabric. You MUST hand over one yard of fabric for the swap. No requirements, other than it must be one yard of fabric. What piece of fabric from your stash do you hand over at your guild meeting tonight?

A green batik I bought that goes with nothing in my stash, but is still a beautiful piece of fabric.

I have about a yard of this Oriental fabric that has a bamboo design in it that I think is just wonderful, but have never figured out just what to do with it. If you cut it up, its going to be just a drab olivey green with tiny tiny bits of orange, so it needs to be used in large cuts. That's the one i would take

This is not a hard game. I have so much fabric and almost all of it is good looking, in my opinion. Even if I got the ugliest piece of fabric that I have, it would not come close to your ugly fabric.
I would grab a yard of black and white.

But, my ugly fabric is only a fat quarter and it's such a novelty I may be buried with it! I think I'd hand over one of my fru-fru, pink calicos that I have in my stash. Nice fabric, just not me!

For a swap I would bring one of my favorite fabrics. It is a red.

It would be a blue print of some sort. I have a bin of blue and I don't stitch blue unless I have to.
