I was hand stitching the binding to the back of my quilt out on the deck on this gorgeous day today. When I was done (not "complete" - just *done*) I put all my stuff in my sewing room, then I had to go to the grocery store to get something sorted for dinner. Got home, did the initial prep work, then went back into the sewing room to gather my stuff and do more binding work.

Grabbed the quilt, the binding clips, thread snips and thread.

    Needle.

Oops! There it is! Still stuck safely to my shirt at my left shoulder!

Yes. I wore a needle to the grocery store.

If there is a club for daft quilters, count me in.

I would instantly recognize you as a sister sewer.
And you could recognize me with all the strings on my shirt and cat hairs on my pants.

I have folded top out the laundry that still have my needle in the binding around the neck. Always surprises me when I do something like that.

Wow you have nothing on me. I handsew with my right leg coward above my left knee. All my Pins are put into my pants leg at knee level. The worst was when i went shopping and stabbed myself multiply times in the other leg. Funny now!!

Where I shop for groceries the cashier or the bag person would never notice because they ALWAYS no matter who they are discuss what time they came to work and what time they leave......or what time their break is.....

However, IF I had seen you at the grocery story I would have struck up a conversation re your needle on your shoulder and interrogated you on what you were making, etc !!!!
