How's this for a problem -- gift certificate I can't use!

Just got a notice from fabshophop this morning that I won a $10 gift certificate from A Couple of Sisters Designs. I checked their web page and they sell flannels and tons of block-a-months. I am not interested in either. It's hard to feel bummed when this is a free gift, but there are hundreds of sites where I could spend that $10 a dozen times over.

What to do? I can just let it expire, but that seems such a waste. Trade with someone who likes their stuff -- but how? Buy something I will never use (don't have any friends who are into those things either.) Any thoughts? Thanks for reading.

I sure would change my way of thinking and use it.

Why not order the flannel and donate to one of the groups making charity quilts? I'm sure they would make good use of it.

Do they have thread or other notions?

I'd probably put it in the pay-it-forward section of the QB.

they also have notions, thread, patterns, books, maybe a new ruler? or a handy new gadget you don't have? a nice cone or thread, or a couple spools? they offer a lot more than just bom's, flannels & wools.

I just browsed and spotted an adorable Owl applique, but we don't all have the same "likes". Good luck making use of your winnings.

Make a donation quilt with it. I sure wouldn't let it expire. Maybe there are some notions on their website and you can put it toward that.

I have won a few of those gift certificates and there was one that I didn't use. There was nothing I wanted or could use. They are usually non- transferable.

I won one once, and when I tryed to use it, Shop was closed and would not honor it. And I tryed to use it as soon as I was notified that I had won. Oh well!
