Once upon a time, on this very board, I believe I read a statement
That basically said, one is not *really* an accomplished quilter
unless and until they have a finger/sewing machine needle
mishap. Now, I will be the first person to tell you I am a fair
Sewer at best, but if I am to follow the aforementioned rule of thumb (
Arrrrrggh! Pun intended) then indeed tonight is my night. I have joined the elite finger stitcher clan.
    Ouch!
    Lol

Sorry you got bit, however if I have to be bit by a machine needle while IN the machine to become an accomplished quilter. Then please do NOT put me on the roll call because I hope to NEVER be an accomplished quilter. Ya'll can keep that title!

Well, I guess I have joined the group as well
:D ...Have you ever sewed your clothes to the project your working on? I did that not too long ago..I was hand stitching away ..Got to the end of the thread to tie it off and cut it, when I realized that halfway through, my clothes were sewed right along with it

I have been sewing for over 50 years--clothes and quilts--and I just did that about a year ago. I have also hand stitched my finger into something--not easy to do--and that is something I do often. I keep trying to use a thimble, but so far no luck.
