Don't you just hate it when you forget something and end up adding an extra trip to your day?
I headed out this morning to my LQS (a 90-minute drive) to pick up some fabric for my latest deadline. Of course, I'm going to tack on a bunch of other errands to make the trip worthwhile which involved gathering together various items. 30 minutes from home, I have that "uh-oh" feeling and when I stop to look my fears are realized. Yup, I left the quilt top at home that I needed to match the fabric to. Otherwise known as - how to add an extra hour of driving to your day!

Absolutely never happens to me, at least, not everyday!

I have a notebook too where I write down all my errands and what I have to get at which one. I try to make it so I don't have to back and forth from store to store, just in a line from home to back to home. Saves gas that way.
But to make sure I take it with me, I put my car keys on it, or stick the notebook in my pocket. Or put it in my purse, making sure that it's the purse that I had intended to take with me and not the one that needs a zipper sewed back on and should remain home instead of the one with my wallet and drivers' license in it. So of COURSE the only time I ever get stopped by a cop is when I can't produce that darn Driver's License.

I always put things with my purse on my desk in front of the computer the night before.Because I start every day with QB-so I won't forget my shopping lists-coupons-fabric swatches -mail etc so I can get the most out of the gas tank. Its a wonderful plan if only I would remember to take my purse Seems like theres always a glitch with The Perfect Plan :-( ---But I think I've ironed out the wrinkles From now on I'll put it IN the car the night before -If I don't forget :-)

I usually write it all down and then leave the list at home.

Sounds like you are a human being trying to do too much. Sounds normal to me.
