I am not a smoker, never have been, but do you remember when all the cigarette ads were on TV?

    I'd walk a mile for a camel.
Good to the very last tip. (edit - that was drop, and it was coffee.)
More doctors smoke camels than any other cigarette.
Calling Pall Mall, calling Pall Mall,...
    Come to Marlborough country.
Winston tastes good like a cigarette should.
    A silly millimeter longer.
You've come a long way baby.

Maybe some things are best forgotten...

"Gardol" (Colgate commercial from the 50s. I still use it.!)

"The relentless pursuit of perfection." (Lexus 1990s.....made me buy my first one in 1993 and my second one in 1997.

SO glad I did that because after my divorce in 2000, I know I will never be able to buy another car. That 1997 Lexus is now 18 years old and is still serving me well, though it has some not so minor blemishes, just like me.)

Burma Shave signs. The last one I saw, just a few years back:
    If you drive
    When caution ceases
    You are apt
    To rest in pieces.

I had heard they were going to put up another saying on that road; they had a contest and there was a winner, but there still are no signs. I'm waiting.
