My mom has given me her Elna serger. I notice that many of you have sergers in your sewing rooms... Do you use them often? What types of projects do you use them for?

I serge the raw edges of all of my fabric prior to pre-washing.

I have an Elna serger. I use the serger to make garments when I'm using thick fabric like fleece, I use it to make pillowcases and pillow covers, I use terry cloth when I make burp cloths and serge the ends when I cut it to stop it from shedding all over the place.

What a great gift from your Mom.
I've never used a Serger but I know they're nice.
