Oh Baubo, I am amazed you can do things with all that trouble but you persevere. quilting is difficult at times for me too. stay strong and quilt when you can, it really is therapy!

Thank you everyone, I have noticed since I joined this board how caring the members are and I appreciate it. I do try to sew a little every day now that the shock of finding out about the lung cancer is not so great; I found out on March 30th and I go see the surgeon on April 29th. The last month has been difficult with trying not to worry too much (I lost my hubby 5 yrs ago to lung cancer also)especially with what I have seen and heard of others. But I will learn the facts on Thursday and then know what to worry about.

Sorry for your frustrating problems. We had them for our internet but having problems and being without service happened once too often...that's why we have a different carrier now! :D

I paid them .99 a month as insurance for if it was ever the inside wiring.
I hope that it isn't and that this repair is on them

    hmmm, i hope i have that. sounds like something i did with A T & T.
i went and got two new batteries for our portable phones. they now work. but i got another land line phone which has caller ID adn it's not working. the old one didn't either. i hate to have them come out only for that.
the directions say if we have DSL i need a DSL filter.... sigh.

they admitted they are doing a software update.
my new batteries allowed the portables to work so i do have phones that work. just not my land line. should be taken care of tonight they say.... we will see.
    sigh of relief!

I could tell you about the Comcast service or lack thereof in our area but I'd have to set aside my religious beliefs in order to say it. So I'll just say that their service at best is horrible.
