My son's soon to be ex..just officially moved out of their house this morning. I had made them a quilt this past Jan(he had me make it with her favorite colors and a tulip pattern). It is much to hot for him (I made it with poly fill and flannel backing). He asked me..if he should keep the quilt and I am not sure what to say. Thats my first question..what would you all do???

My second question is...I need ideas for a quilt to make for him now..so it is not so hot. The poly fill I used was called high loft poly batting. How do you make a summer type quilt?? What pattern can I use for a guy and made with all blues??

Thanks everyone for any and all help I get with this matter.

Let her keep it, it was made for her really. Best to make a new one just for him.

I agree, he may not want the reminder of it in the room.

Check out some blue quilts on the QB. Maybe you will find inspiration.

I agree with the others - tell him to give the quilt to her.

The poly batt is why it is so warm. Use one of the all cotton ones to keep it cooler. And I think he was asking what to do to find out if you would be hurt if he gave it to her. It sounds as if it was more hers than his.
