My area of central IL has about 1/2 inch ice and is now sleeting heavily. The wind is picking up now. We are in the 8- 15 inch snow prediction area. I guess we just wait and see.

Good luck everyone - hope you can stay safe and warm thru this mess. Here's to hoping the power stays on for you all.

    Thanks,

I am just about 40 miles straight north of IN and it has just started here. Little tiny pellets of ice and windy. We have no alternate form of heat, either. We have baseboard hot water heat and, of course, when the power goes at the temps/wind we will have, I expect that to freeze and we will end up with burst pipes. No fun at all to look forward to. Generally, I don't mind a good snowfall and a day, or so, off school...but I am really dreading this storm. I have been praying all day long for everyone!

Yes, I hope the power stays on too. I'm total electric and NO fireplace or alternate heat source. This morning it was flickering on and off. Everything here is shut down.

We're not getting anything except rain this time here in Northern Alabama. Although I really miss all my friends there, I'm sure glad I don't live in NJ anymore. I'll keep you all in my prayers. Stay safe and warm!
