This is EXACTLY the stars that Carol Duvall had on her show.
Whether HGTV even admits that they ever had the program or not, who knows? They have gotten so far away from where they were that I don't even bother going to their websites.
You are the BEST, Dutchie <wave>

I made these stars years ago. But I don't remember how to fold the strips. I dipped the stars in melted wax and sprinked a little glitter on them. I know they lasted for years.

Just saw this thread. I grew up outside Milwaukee and learned how to make these in 7th grade from a male teacher. Taught all my family and students to make these through many years. We dipped them in hot wax and then sprinkled them with the clear "fairy dust" glitter. I have made them from butcher paper that was cut with a paper cutter, ribbons, paperish fabric, and just about anything that can be stiffened. Has been a fun Holiday activity for a lotta years!
I must have missed the Carol Duvall show where they were featured. I have lots of her shows that I taped. She is a hoot, and I miss her. No reason for me to have cable since she is no longer on the air!
