In the news this morning: "The heaviest snow will occur from the higher elevations of northeastern Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey northward into interior New England, with accumulations of greater than 8 inches in many locations. In the Catskills and Adirondacks of New York, as well as the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire, amounts will more than double that locally, approaching 18 inches."

This sounds like horrid stuff! Please be safe and check in when you can, those of you in this region of the country.

Jan in VA, where we just expect lots of rain.

Yup, that's what they're predicting, at the moment. One never knows what will really happen. As Mark Twain once said (forgive my paraphrasing), "in New England, if you don't like the weather, wait a moment!"

Thanks for your caution & concern. As they also say, we've been here and done that. --- All Winter long!! ----

The most distressing part of the weather report is that several of my favorite ice cream shoppes open tomorrow. There is something wrong with standing in line for a hot fudge sundae wearing boots and a wooly winter coat.

Thanks for the concern. They are predicting 7" to 14" in our area.

Sorry NH - here south of Boston, MA we just may miss snow but get 2 inches of rain! I understand the slopes are having great spring skiing! My crocus and snowdrops will survive like every other New England Spring. And "Mark" never said it better!

Be careful everyone. Stay inside if you can and work on your quilts.
