Wonder if you could put handles on the snap bag?

sew 2 placemats together on 3 sides (2 short, 1 long.) box the bottom the width of the doubled placemat border/ prior to sewing the mats together, use napkins to make inside pockets. attach straps--i would put batting in the straps for comfort. use a firm plastic or cardboard piece for bottom of bag (can be covered in napkin fabric which is removable.)
that's my best guess. doesn't look difficult at all.

I have made a tote bag with one placemat to hold all sewing supplies. what it is, fold the mat in half then sew 8 ziploc bags (zipper is best and freezer bags) down the middle of the mat. staircase the bags so there are different sizes and sew down the middle. cut excess from the bottom of bags. sew on a piece of material to cover the seam then sew on velcro on each end and close. It holds a lot of stuff. when i go to the sewing room, i grab it and go. We are going to alaska the end of may(i'm from there) and i am going to make one for my makeup bag. hopefully i explained this so you kind of get the idea.

I posted a snap bag purse today with handles. I made mine with batting and a lining just like I would a regular purse. I had to think it thru and did some ripping but I did get it done.
