Printing this out for a creative writing sample for our 12th graders. This is soooo funny! However I live in Florida and since we have pygmy rattlers I am NEVER bringing in another plant!

Tears are rolling down my cheeks, the door rings, I had lots of explanation to make to my neighbour, Imagine writing a sequel to that story because you're laughing and crying at the same time

This great! We cut a Christmas tree down in Texas many years ago and decorated it for a huge party. All Christmas our dog kept after the tree and we thought that he was after the Gingerbread cookies we had hung there. Everyone commented on how beautiful the tree was so it became the center of all the attention. After the holiday when I started to take the ornaments off the tree, I found quite a large snakes wrapped around the trunk. Yes, it was quite dead and very crispy by then but the dog seemed to have a very smart smile on his face. The next year we purchased an artificial tree!

OMG this is too funny. Wonder how long it took me or anyone else to finish reading it. I was laughing but then I thought, could be a true story. But the more I read the more I laughed. I'm from a town near Sweetwater I'm afraid of snakes but have gone to their rattlesnake roundup. boy does it stink, well that is what I remember anyways. Thanks for sharing, this ought to be in a movie.

that is the kind of crap that happens at my house. it could have been the night there was a bat flapping around the kitchen and my son was running around the kitchen in his undies trying to catch it in a bucket then we lost it and thought it flew out till it touched my foot and i had an asthma attack from screaming! my younger son tells me the next day "you know mommy u could just call the police a friend of his had a bat and that is all the had to do" hmmm out of the mouths of babes!
