I heard on the news today that today was sewing machine day. Looked it up online. Yep. Hug your machine (s) today.

Shucks, I missed it. https://nationaldaycalendar.com/days...e-day-june-13/ says for the first patent in 1790 by Thomas SaInt.

There is another one in September 10th. I know there are two. When I was looking for when the other was, I came up with a possible third in August, 12th, I think,

Which one did you play with today? or did you buy a 'new' one?

Okay, finally figured it all out.

June 13 1790 patented by Thomas Saint, who not successfully advertise or market his invention.

Sep. 10, 1846 patented by E. Howe, Jr

    Aug. 12, 1851 patented by I. M. Singer

So all are Sewing Machine Days

I actually sold 40 machines. Kept another 6. I had tried to become a sewing machine repair person, but had fallen at an auction and hit my head on a rocking chair. Since then I have had trouble remembering a number after I crossed a room. Well.....I'm going to be 72 soon too.

I got what I wanted out of them and he was well pleased. They leave next week. It was a very good sewing day for me.

One of the ones I kept was like Bonnie Hunter's White (brand name made in 1965 in Japan??) Color AQUA/TEAL.
