Hi everyone- very good flight so far-except we were 50 minutes late leaving LA - the baggage carosel lost power so they had to hand-carry all the luggage to put on the plane! Got a few flowers done on my GFG waiting in the departure lounge and on the plane - no problems getting my blunt nose scissors and thread snips thru security in LA, but naturally, here in Fiji, they took my snips!! I sort of planned for it, though, they are so picky here! I packed another pair in my luggage. They are only the cheap $1.49 (regularly $1.99) metal snips Joann's has in their beading notions, but they are really sharp and for that price, I am not too bugged they took them off me.

Yes, always have trouble with Fiji-once it was over a make-up mirror that you can put a tiny battery in for the LED lights to work -which I didn't have a battery for. There was such a hoo-haa (if that's a word)-supervisors (about 6 people involved), x-raying and re-x-raying, I was tired after a night flying with hardly any sleep, and they wouldn't accept my explanation for it. They kept saying "we want to see it work"-I said I had NO batteries with me, but they kept insisting on seeing it work.I finally said "then you get a battery-you know, this isn't rocket science!" In the end, they let me go with it. Everytime I come thru here, I get some sort of hassle!

We arrived yesterday-but 1 suitcase short!! And of course, it was mine with all my tops (DH packed my pants in another) and underwear and toiletries!! They found it in LA, and can't get it here until AT LEAST Saturday-so I have to go out and buy enough to get me thru the week. Shopping here isn't that easy! It also had my hair dryer (and transformer), gifts, the new menus for my cafe, and my DH's shoes. Now off to work! At least I left my work shirts here the last time.
