    AMEN! It took me awhile to learn this,wish I wouldv'e lived it more when my daughter was young,because I see her going through the same stuff I did,now I'm just trying to tell her and living the exsample.

    It is sad to let that relationship go but you know it is the right thing to do.... life is just too short to have all that drama in there when it isn't needed... I know at times I am sad about it but my life in a whole is just so much MORE, that you can't really miss is.......

    with the majority of my family of origin, those two quotes have saved my sanity more than once or twice.

    I think we all need this reminder from time to time. It took me a very long time to get this figured out, but when I did, I decided that high maintenance friendships, and I had one at the time, just were not worth the time, patience and energy. What a breath of fresh air!
