I have friends with 7 daughters - Kim, Kara, Kristen, Kendra, Kortney, Katie and Kyla. Then they had a son and we were sure he would be named Karl, Kevin, Ken, etc. Nope ...... Ryan!

Suggested that for my youngest, but was voted down by her father and 10 and 13 year old siblings. They didn't like "Joy Noel" either. Said it sounded too much like a blond cheerleader type.

We settled on Andrea Lorraine.

By the way, she was the 'blond, cheerleader type", but played soccer, no cheerleading.

As a German speaker I have to point out that the German word is spelt 'Morgen'. Morgan is actually a Welsh name, and a very nice one at that!
