Default What color do you sort out first?

I have been doing a lot of multi-color jigidi.com puzzles lately.

There is usually one color that I sort out first - it's usually a "bright" one - but turquoise or electric blue seems to be the one that catches my eye the most often.

Have you noticed that when you do puzzles - or sort fabric scraps?

For puzzles, I always do the edge pieces. I don't think I've ever picked out pieces by color. I'll have to check out those puzzles. I haven't heard of that site.

In jigidi, I start with the color(s) that most stick out. I only do the big puzzles and usually start with 2 or 3 colors/patterns and the edges and then go from there.

For jigsaw puzzles I always start by sorting out the edge pieces, then the sky.

I like the brightly colored nature puzzles on this site.

I am not a puzzle person at all but I did go to that site and tried one. Have no clue how to do it, but the brightest blue with a touch of purple drew my eye right away. The ones I didn't like were red with green.

I am somewhat addicted to Jigsaw Planet (must do at least one a day). I sort by color...do the edge pieces last. It works for me.

I do the edges first, then pick "something" in the puzzle to concentrate on first. It might be a color, or it might be something prominent...a window, a boat etc. Something that sticks out to me.

... I use cookie sheets to sort out all the pieces by color and by script and/or signs if any... I never really thought about it but I probably sort out the pieces just willy nilly as in I pick a piece out of the box and lay it in with its corresponding color on my cookie sheets ...after assembling edges then work on any script or signs that might be in puzzle.....then work on probably brightest section of puzzle leaving sky and foliage till last

I do the edges first, then start with a prominent color and work my way around it.
