Default What a wonderful Christmas present!

My best present ever was that our youngest son came home from Chicago to spend a few days with us. He hadn't been home for Christmas since he moved to Chicago in 2006. He went there to go to school( he went to Le Condon Bleu) and now is a professional Pastry Chef.

He did a little baking for us while here. It was truly delicious.
Now my husband & I are at work taking off those extra pounds we gained over the holidays.

I hope everyone on this board had a wonderful Christmas and I am wishing you all a great New Year.

    Chris

What a wonderful Christmas present for you! We had a similar one. My DGS came home from Air Force Tech school in San Angelo, TX to SC. We hadn't seen him since August! I am so happy for you because I know how you feel to have him home! Here's wishing you a very Happy New Year!!

Our youngest came home from Louisville with his fiancé. It was wonderful and she fits right in with this crazy family. I am so glad you had a wonderful Christmas also. It makes me sad to hear so many thankful its over and complaining about it. We are on SS and it's a high cost area to live in but we all look for unique gifts not expensive ones and we have lots under the tree and lots on the table. Lol. Can't ask the dear Lord for any more than that. Sending a prayer for a better 2012.

So happy for you. Our son-in-law's sister is a chef and she makes some wonderful things. It's always so nice to be together. Our kids have always known its not about gifts, its about celebrating Christ's birth. Hope you have a very Happy New Year.

My DS came home Christmas Eve and we made cookies, just the two of us and talked of old times. It was nice spending time with just him and I. He doesn't live far but work commitments for both of us prevent more time together. It will be a memory I will treasure for a long time.
