Default wrong fabric bought for quilt now what?

I've started a tradition that when my grandchildren turn 8, I make them a quilt. My granddaughter asked for a quilt with a mickey mouse theme. I forgot and bought fabric for the whole quilt top and back with a theme of princess's . Now what do I do? It cost me about 80 dollars for all of this fabric? do I try to sell it and who would want it since they wouldn't be the one to choose the fabric themselves?

You save it for another quilt or just hang onto for the what ifs. I hung onto fabric for 10 years before I finally made a quilt I found appropriate for the fabric

If you bought it from JoAnns---and still have the receipt, and didn't cut it----you can return it.

Since you haven't cut it, I'd see if I could return it. If not for a refund, perhaps for an exchange or store credit.

JoAnn's does take back fabric if you have the receipt and have not cut it. They just measure it to verify and give you your money or exchange. I had to do this and it was not a problem.

I didn't know this. Never too old to learn new things.

How I wish I had bought it at JoAnn's, but I didn't. It was a specialized quilt store in St. George Utah which I'm pretty sure they don't do returns. I guess I'm stuck with it unless I find someone willing to buy it from me.

With it being such a popular theme I wouldn't be surprised if you took a picture of all the fabric and the pattern that someone would be happy to buy it. For lots of people, choosing the fabrics is the hardest part. This would be like one of the many kits they buy. Good luck!

My granddaughter loves Princess's. You can PM me and maybe we can do something. I am in Kansas. Where are you?

I'm in Utah! Where would I send you my e-mail address? I'm way interested in selling it to someone.
