hey I'm a new quilter. I have mostly boutiques in my quilt but I was wondering if I can mix some stamped pattern type cloth into the quilt. I think it looks ok, but not too sure since I'm new to this. Is it going to look really funny? Thanks! And if you have any pictures of mixed quilts please send me a link.

    Hello and welcome from Minnesota!
    Do you mean batiks?
If you like the looks of it, you can do whatever you like!

I mix fabrics all the time. My avatar is a combination of batiks and woven prints. I just sent a quilt off to my LAQ that had woven prints, knit minkee and brushed flannel. When I get it back I plan to add a satin binding. If it looks good - and you like it, go for it - it's your creation!

Oh, and BTW - Welcome from Wisconsin :D

I've mixed fabrics for quilts before. I use people's clothing to make memory quits for others. They contain all types of fabrics.
