Welcome from sort of central Alberta! I'm the opposite. I love quilting but am scared to try sewing garments as my first time wasn't enjoyable. :)

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Quilting has come a long way in a few short years. If you can, take a beginner class but if not you'll get lots of tips here. Check out the tutorials page on the QB and jump right in with something easy. Perhaps a 9 patch or if you're feeling adventurous a Disappearing 9 patch(DNP).

Thank you all very much for the warm welcome and I have to tell you all right off the bat I will most likely be spending most of my time in the Vintage sewing machine room :D.
