I was telling my husband that I was conversing with a fellow quilter from Ireland and he was excited for me. I have learned a lot already and enjoy the fact that everyone is so helpful. I will not be afraid to ask a stupid question!

I have kinfolk in Athens, Alabama-and love traveling to North Alabama-have spent a lot of time in Hartselle. Is there a good quilting shop up your way that I could stop by next time I am in the area? I have already visited Heart of Dixie in Athens!

Yes, there is one in Decatur on the Beltline. It's The Quilter's Refuge, 1101 Beltline Rd Se, Decatur, Alabama. I haven't been in there yet, but I've heard it's great. I'm just getting into quilting, and right now, I'm practicing on the fabrics I already have. Decatur is just south of Athens.

    :-D

I know where the Beltline Mall is in Decatur-so I should be able to find it. I used to work for a fabric store while in college and again just recently for Joann's on a part time basis-I have a stash too that I can use up before having to buy anything new!
