Hi! I'm not only new to this site, but I'm also new to quilting -- and really excited about it! So much so, that I have found myself seemingly obsessed with reading all about it online and browsing through the few books I do have, over and over again. Oh, and keeping an excel chart for all the notions I need to collect with what little spare money I get. And to think I gave my mom such a hard time when I was helping her pack up her sewing/quilt room for her recent move across country. I guess I CAN see how it's possible for someone to accumulate 300+ quilting books, an entire arsenal of thread, and more fabric than your local Joann's. :0)

Glad to find this site and I look forward to learning lots from all awesome quilters!

Lucky you! It just so happens that one of the best quilt shows around is happening in your own city August 28-30 at the convention center. You'll see quilts you won't believe! You'll be completely inspired (and humbled), and there will also be many vendors there who are willing to sell you all kinds of quilting goodies. I'd urge you to go--you'll love it!

MN sends greetings! Welcome to this site and to the addictive world of quilting! Sometimes I think that we trick ourselves into believing that if we read it or buy it then it is the same (almost) as having done it or used it!!

Thanks for such a warm welcome!!

Harmony - It's funny that you should mention the quilt show that's happening here in San Diego in 2 weeks. It's all my friends and I have been talking about for the past month!

Welcome from Ventura County in Southern Callifornia. Wish I get my girls "to see the light" about quilting. This is a great place to learn lots of great quilting tips and such. One of my daughters goes to school down there at Pt Loma Nazarene.
