:-D I quilt in fits. I do everything in fits. LOL Right now I'm quilting one that my 88 yr. old, nearly blind mother and one of her 9 year old greatgranddaughter pieced. It is sad, has pleats sewn in it and sometimes there is black thread used to sew it up. I have really mixed emotions about this project. If you had known my mother before she went blind, you would not have seen a better quilter. All her seams matched, and she made tiny stitches. Was a beautiful quilter. Anyway my greatniece will love it and care for it. So it is a labor of love in lots of ways.

Memories are not always about perfection but about the realness of life

Kudos to your mom for NOT giving up quilting even tho she's almost blind. I'm new here, too, and I think I'm going to like this site.

Welcome from Cypress, TX. Just remember that it won't be long before they are looking at our quilts and saying, Bless Her Heart, She is half blind and can't hear thunder, but she does the best she can. In the south, you can say just about anything, as long as you start with "Bless Their Heart".
