Hello and welcome to this great site... I do have a question.. I have an old 500 singer and it is holding up pretty good. The problem I have is when I am free motion sewing and try to go to the left, the thread fazes and brakes and knots up underneath. I think I have tried everything I can think of: new needle, different threads. Some times putting in a larger needle 16 works..
Do you have any other suggestions?? I have had it in the shop for this problem, but no help..
    Thanks for joining us. Bette

Welcome to the board. Sometimes my machine acts a little wonky and I'm glad to have someone to ask.
