    Default New to the forum

Hello...I'm new to the forum and was hoping that I might find some folks who could give me some advice. My Mom recently purchased a Janome Memory Craft 400e embroidery machine for me. Love it at first, but after using it we noticed a problem that seemed common with this particular model. We ended up sending it back so I am in the process of finding another one. My husband suggested either the Janome 9850 or the Bernette 70 Deco. Does anyone own either one of these machines and have any advice? Thanks!

Welcome to the QB! From SE Michigan!! I can't help you with your machine but I know there are some who are well versed in this machine. If you don't get a response that helps you out this time in your next message label it with the machine and model number of your concern you should get a better response. People are very helpful here. Again welcome to the QB

A warm welcome from Southern California. I have a Janome Horizon, not an embroidery machine, but with lots of embroidery stitches. The only thing I'm not happy with is that when I am sewing with several layers of fabric, as on a quilt, the fabric doesn't feed evenly and the stitches are wonky. On two layers of fabric, no problem. I would check the internet for reviews on the machines you're interest in. Good luck!

Welcome to the board! I'm afraid I'm another one who isn't much help but glad to have you here.

One of the things to look at when changing brands of embroidery machines is does it have the designers you want? Like I think Disney has very restrictive uses, mostly for Brother machines.

Some people are very pro-one brand, like my friend is die-hard Bernina gal all the way -- except her embroidery machine is different because of that designer issue.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I don’t have experience with those machines but you should try them out. A good shop that has lessons on your machine is also helpful.
