Default Older Gammill Longarm, New Owner

Not sure if this will be heaven or hell or purgatory but I just picked up an OLD 24/10 head & 14' table from a drapery shop that was going out of business. Owner originally said it was roughly 10 yrs old (I have serious doubts as it has L size bobbin) he wanted $1k as it has been a "daily driver". He has to be out of the building by next week he called back and said make an offer. Got it, table thread & heavy duty bobin winder for $335. Has fairly new motor and looks like new shuttle/race, albeit an L size bobbin. It ran smoothly (without thread... don't laugh) and appears mechanically ok, zippered leaders, obviously no stitch regulator. The only model # possibility I can find on it is MEN314...

Any clues and is it possible I got a deal? Has anyone retrofitted one like this with a stitch regulator?

    Thanks for your help!
    Grace
