Default Anyone have this thread set?

From what I can find out from others who have this thread, it's like Aurifil. I ordered a set to find out. It's a great sale price even if I end up using it for basting thread.

Can't answer you on the thread but it looks to be nice. Yet I have a question on that link, I see there is a member price and have you used that site before? Is it worth it or do you get overloaded with spam?

Thanks, I just ordered this. I'm going to start doing portraits this yr. For Christmas I'm going to try and do my son's dog who died with a yr after saving the family's lives from a fire. I just did my first digitized design. Its a take on the Happy Daisy quilt, I changed the design so that it looks more like a daisy and it stitches out great. A few more tweeks and it'll be perfect. I'm so proud of this, I don't want to limit myself to others designs, especially when I paid so much for my software that allows me to do more. It is a great thread price so even if I only use it to test designs on, you can't beat the price. I know Floriani has a skin color set and it's pricey.

Shoppersrule is a popular site to buy sewing items. The membership is just your email and password. I use gmail and don't get spam at all but I doubt that site sends spam. It get personal email from them if I have a question about a product. I've never had a problem. I buy most of my Go dies from them. The newsletter specials are always great buys.

No, but I'd snap it up at that price.

Thanks for posting this message. Not familiar with Quilter Rule, but joined, bought the thread and had fun looking around.

This is definitely a different brand and is polyester. You could probably use it on an embroidery machine.

I have bought other items from them, not thread, and not had a problem.

No but it is poly. I ordered a rulers several years ago and it was broken . They never made it right so I don't order from them any more. Learned my lesson.

Aurifil makes poly thread. I have many mini cones of the solid colors before it was changed to variegated. Most think Aurifil makes only cotton thread because that's all the quilt shops sell. Also I have the super big cones of 60wt and 80 wt Aurifil cotton.

I have an old microscope and look at different thread brands under it. I can tell in a glance which brands are smooth, no slubs, not hairy looking. I will definitely look at this thread next to the Aurifil and other brands I like. Lots of good brand thread has thin and thick spots and slubs. I was surprised.
