Default Interesting block using scrap batting, QAYG

Ran across this by accident: http://californiaquilting.blogspot.c...u-go-qayg.html

Looks like an interesting and different quilt to make. Very unusual way of piecing! Uses scraps of batting, which we all have, and is a quilt as you go pattern. At the end of the pictures, there is a youtube video address (did not click, hope it still works). Definitely on the to do list.

Thank you for sharing this interesting block. We make quilts for small animals in our guild.

The quilt is attached to a tiny stuffed animal. First responders, police officers, firemen and social workers have them in their car trunks. A child is given the animal with the quilt attached to give them comfort in stressful situations. The QAYG block is perfect to try out for this service project.

I am a "do everything by machine if at all possible gal", and this QAYG method is one that I had figured out for myself. It's neat to see that a professional came up with the same idea, or is it that "old" sewers think alike???? I would never get any quilts done if I had to do handwork.

That is an interesting idea for a qayg.

Saved this to favorites. This is great for those who don't have the long arms.
