I'm originally from Missouri where Ann Hazlewood once owned a quilt shop/ a button shop/ and a counted cross stitch shop all along the streets in Historic St. Charles. She's a great historian of this same community and I would suspect she weaves a little into each of her novels. I've met and chatted with her on several occasions while shopping for fabric. What a nice lady.
