    Default Marshall dry goods

Has anyone ordered fabric from Marshall Dry Goods?. The prices are really good - some are <$3.00/yd. What about the quality of the fabric? Some of the fabric lists the thread count - 78x78 - is this good?

I don't know why my entire post doesn't show up. I was saying that some are less than $3.00/yd. Some show a thread count of 78x78 - is this good? What is the quality of the fabric?

They have good and better qualities. But even the less soft fabric will soften up when washed. I love their stuff and hope to get to their store at least once a year. Best prices on batting by the roll, too.

They reopened the retail part of the store this week I was there Monday. No masks required. All the name brands are there except Moda. They have Joann's and Connecting Threads fabric. Also Cotton and Steel is showing up. I buy Hoffman Batiks, Robert Kauffman, Timeless Treasures, Michael Miller, Riley Blake, Benatex, Allison Glass, Free Spirit, Tula Pink, Kaffe Fasset, and every other brand name. The MDG brand is okay but some of it can be stiff. I love the MDG Dream Cotton though. I can't tell any difference from Bella Moda. You never know what you will find on the $1 a yard table. I like it better then Handcock's of Paducah. Big selection of notions from QIAD to Clover. Not much thread though and no books.

I order from Marshall's all the time, have never had a complaint. If I ever go on "vacation" going east, I'm heading there. LOL

I've ordered from Marshall's and never had a bad piece of fabric. I've ordered regular cotton as well as backings. Love their selections and prices.

it's like ordering from any online source.
most of it is decent stuff, with a few stinkers every once in a while.
it's more about the brand than it is the seller.
no matter where you buy, over time you will learn which brands you like best and those you'd prefer to avoid.

the good news is that since their prices are fair, everything you get is worth what you paid or more.

I have ordered from them once in a while. I have always been happy with what I received. I don't order enough to be considered a regular shopper there however. I am doing my best not to buy fabrics of any kind right now. (Fabric Moratorium),
