    Default Monthly sew box?

The fat quarter shop website is offering a surprise type monthly mailing. Has anyone joined. The April box, which was revealed on website looks like it was worth the price.

No, I hadn't noticed it on their website. I don't really care for surprises or mystery quilts. I need to plan where what fabrics will go where. I know I am a control freak.

If you don't like to shop, it will be a good surprise every month. The price of the contents are based on retail price. I don't pay retail for 99% of my quilt purchases. I have a list of items I want and when one goes on sale I buy it. This includes Go dies, fabric, rulers, thread, scissors, pins, patterns, books, furniture, fusibles, batting, and especially specialty items.

Onebyone - I agree completely. I was just curious...I myself would not want to pay for some unknown things.

I have seen those boxes also on a couple sites. Only bad thing is one of them was $45.00 & it included rulers, tools etc. along with fabric & thread or whatever. I wouldn't want to invest that much every month to maybe get several things that I already have. It might be worth it to a new quilter that doesn't have much yet. I need to watch my pennies closer too so I will just stick to buying things I need when I need it

If I was a new quilter I might be tempted. I already have enough rulers and gadgets and wouldn't want repeats.

I signed up for the one on Fat Quarter Shop. I was curious and its 25.00. If I don't like it, I'll cancel. I'll keep you posted.
