    Default An A&S Sewing Machine

    i've been browsing around because the senior citizen group i belong to was given an A&S sewing machine. we could use the book, so i came upon this.

    Abraham & Strauss was a Brooklyn, NY based department store. I think they were owned by Federated Department Stores, the same group that owns Macy's. I believe they went out of business in the late 1960's or early 1970's. I remember my mom buying a lot of my school clothes there. A&S was a great store.

    It's a badged model 15 clone. There are a lot of them out there.

    It is a beautiful machine and cabinet, but I personally think it it's overpriced.
