Default Veteran hoping to find one who provided him cover (Delaine M.)

I am not sure if this thread can be here, but it would be nice for all to read this, maybe the quilter is a board member and she can reach the veteran Or someone on the board knows her!

I am a QOV member. I believe this article was posted on the Facebook page. So it's certainly possible that the topper/quilter might have seen this. But we normally only put our first names. & I put my state as well.

What a heartwarming story - good people who make these wonderful gifts and such deserving people who receive them with such heartfelt gratitude.

That's a beautiful quilt. It's heartwarming to see what a Quilt of Valor means to this veteran.

That is a sweet story! I hope Delaine M whereever she is, sees the story and knows what a blessing her quilt is.

I have made over two dozen QOV quilts but I never put my full name on it. My best friend has made over 100. We make them to make sure our brave soldiers KNOW that we care about them and they are remembered.

Owing the quilt was in a pillow case, I believe it is a Quilt of Valor. Actually, the label should also say Quilt of Valor. The pillow case is called a "presentation case" by QOV. We understand that when a veteran is moved from one hospital section to another or from one hospital to another, all of their medical records are stored in this presentation case. Also, if the veteran is on crutches or in a wheelchair, he can better handle a cumbersome quilt in the pillow case while moving about. He should go to qovf.org and inquire of them, they should be able to identify Delaine M. for him.

In addition to the VA hospitals and to local veterans, these quilts have been sent to Iraq, Afghanistan and to Landstahl, Germany where there is a large US military hospital. Ask how I know!
