Default Bernina Artista 640 Embroidery bobbin case

This may be a long shot but if anyone has a Bernina Artista 640 embroidery machine I have a question. Does your embroidery bobbin case have a spring in it? This is a 9mm machine and my embroidery wasn't keeping good tension. I took the bobbin case out to clean it and noticed it doesn't have a spring. I'm not sure if I lost it or if it never had a spring in the case at all. Any help anyone can provide with certainly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a Bernina so can't answer your question. Have you asked your Bernina Dealer?

According to page 11 of https://www.bernina.com/bernina/medi...601_a640_E.pdf it does have a spring.

Thank you so much! You are right of course! I called my dealer this morning (somehow I missed your response last night) . and just like you said, it does have a spring. I got it from him today and am back in business. : ) Thank you again!
