    Default 2 Yards

I have 2 yards of fabric, one a cute print and the other a tonal coordinating solid. Any ideas for a little baby blanket/ quilt will be greatly appreciated.

If you can add a background fabric, a walkabout quilt might work for you: https://www.missouriquiltco.com/prod...-quilt-pattern...

    Disappearing 4-patch would be cute.

I just did a simple large quilt using plaids and a grey tone on tone. I basically made square blocks that were nine inches square finished. So I cut the plaids into 6.5 X 9.5 retangles. Then the grey into 2 X 9.5 retangles. I stitched the grey onto each long side of the plaid retangles so the block measured 9.5 inches square. Then I stitched the squares into rows alternating the direction of the greys in the blocks. It made an interesting sashing pattern. I don't know how big your print is but you could modify the size of the blocks to fit the size of your print. I wish I knew how to do the photos but I am not very good at that stuff.

Thank you for suggestions. Sewingpup, did the stashing form a step ladder pattern. I may just try that. Will keep you posted.
