I have decided that I want to try to machine quilt myself, but was wondering how long will the spray adhesive will hold. I'm want to take my time since this will be a first for me. I was guessing that it would stay together until the quilt is washed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know for sure how long but the overspray on the extra backing I cut off a lap quilt in June, is still tacky. I folded it up my scrap bin because it was getting over friendly with other scraps. (sticking to them)

According to the ODIF USA (manufacturer of 505 spray) it is 2 months for poly batting and up tp 4 months for cotton
http://www.odifusa.com/ Click on the tab for 505 spray. Lots of good information !
