I started last year at the age of 64. Had never sewed before.

You have a partner here. I am brand new to quilting, but have been sewing for almost 60 years.

I had sewn a lot for my girls years ago, but only started quilting about 1 1/2 year ago at the age of 63. Now I am hooked big time and love every minute that I get to sew.

I think if you enjoy it - age doesn't matter - you got here as quick as you could and that's the important part. Time for you to enjoy something and be creative. Proud of you

I was 56 when I made my first quilt, but I sure wish I had started earlier than that. I am totally hooked. I love Batiks and Orientals. Enjoy your new found hobby.

I started quilting when I was about 55. Am 76 now and still can't stop. I just love it. Since retiring at 64 I have never been bored.

I would like to thank every-one who answered my question, I see lots of us start later in our journey, it has given me so much encouragement.
    Please all enjoy your journey.
    Thank-you
    Twixbar.

I'mm 66. Started quilting 3 years ago at 63. I sewed when my children were little, but not until retirement did I pull the machine out again and then it was quilting - which always seemed odd to me until I got hooked.
