Default Adding machine tape - thermal

I finally found some adding machine tape to sew scraps on but it is thermal paper...is that OK or will it hurt the fabric?

Honestly, I don't think it would, the thermal reaction is on the tape and doesn't transfer that I'm aware of. I'd be more worried about how many times you could press before the tape crumples up. Maybe test it first to see?

I don't think it is very strong. We use to use in our business numbers faded in a short time
