I opened an artfire store after Thanksgiving and had some questions for those who also sell on there. Do you wash the quilts before you sell them? So far all I've listed is placemats and other small items. But I'm working on a couple small quilts to put on there and wondered about washing them first. Also, any advice on advertising or getting people to buy? I've had lots of people looking but haven't sold anything on there. :( I will have some new items to list by the end of the month and I'm going to do more thorough descriptions. So far I've just done quick basic descriptions and I'm hoping that will help.

    Thanks!

I used to sell items on ebay. I had a few items that didn't sell and so I took better pictures and I was more descriptive about the item the second time. I ended up selling most of the items the second time. My advice would be to post really good pictures along with different angles of the item, and to be very descriptive about the item along with ideas for uses, (ie, great for table cloth or baby quilt or wall hanging, etc..) I hope this helps!

www.artfire.com and www.etsy.com are online craft malls. You can list various items you made and sell them on there.

    Thanks Gellybean!
