Ok, so I got a GC for Fabric.com for my Birthday and I spent it on a lot of the fabrics from the "All Spruced Up" line by Nancy Shumaker Pallan. I had it in mind to make some things for My Grandmas. They are both birdwatchers (it runs in the family) and I thought this fabric just be begged to be made into stuff for them. Now I just need to come up with some ideas or patterns for how to use them. I need to make at least 3 small wallhangings or table runners/mats. Anyone have any suggestions or links to free patterns that would show off these cute prints??
PS I also got panels to make 4-8 stockings so if I have "scraps" leftover I can make potholders and/or coasters for Mom. I also have backing fabric, so that I can stretch the prints a little further.

The whole of what I got.

I got 1 yard of each of these

Love, Love, Love the fabrics!!!! Can I get on your gift list???. There are so many free patterns out there. You might try a search on this board or Google free tablerunner patterns and see what strikes your fancy. You will have so much fun making these gifts for the special people in your life.

I've been kinda browsing the web, but haven't really found a pattern that I thought would both show off the prints and be easy enough for ME to do.

Since you did such a good job on designing the Halloween one, why don't you take some of the 'panels' of the birdhouse fabric and use them as centers for tablerunners &/or placemats, using some of the other fabrics as accents/borders around them.

Some of them look like they would be perfect for the 'cuff' of your stockings as well.

Thank you. Yes, that's my Baby Bella. She is an escape artist, and in this pic, she had escaped her cage and just found her sleeping in the kitchen drawer.

She's very sweet... We had a blackfoot ferret that we just lost on august 22nd. Her name was April and she was 6.5 years old.
