Default Almost done with DD's quilt. Opinion please...

So far the quilt has been echo quilted with straight lines. Now for the wide red border I'm wondering if deviating from that and doing a melon seed design would be alright? I like the look but don't know about changing the design at this point.

    Thanks for looking! Enjoy!

I think the melon seed quilting in the border will look great!

Since the pattern is 1/4 inch stitched, it is almost like SITD so I think any other pattern will look great. Pretty quilt!

Most beautiful quilts have many quilting designs in them. I love the quilt and do think the border quilting would be wonderful! It's nice to get away from all of the angles...the melon seed adds interest and balance to the quilt.

How about sort of marrying the melon seed and echoing. Do a second line on the inside of each melon seed line spaced however you spaced the echo on the straight pieces.

I love your quilt. Someday I hope to get around to that pattern. I think doing the melon seeds in the border is a great idea.
