    Default Another Thread Question

    Hi All,
2 or 3 weeks ago, someone posted a question about Aurifil Thread.
Someone stated that she uses another brand that has similar properties.
I have looked, but no luck finding it.
    Does anyone remember that post?

    Thanks.
    Mike

It may have been Presencia (60 wt). My post-it note says "flatter, more accurate seams."

I like Aurifil. I like it on a bobbin because I don't have to change bobbins so often, but I use all threads that I have collected since I started sewing/quilting. I have so many thread that I try not to buy unless I absolutely need to, like last week I had to buy white because I did not have any white in any thread type.

    Thank you.
Presencia is the name I wad looking for.
I like Aurifil, but is seems to be the most expensive in the market.
    Thanks
    Mike

I got a huge cone of it on Amazon - 50 wt. Wasn't expensive and that cone is so much bigger than I expected. I've never used cones until now. I love that brand

I've recently tried Quilters Select thread by Alex Anderson. I have only used it for piecing, but so far, I'm loving it. It is similar to Aurfil and Presencia.

I use Joann's own store brand of cone thread, coats and clarks, guterman and sulky. For some reason my machine does not like guterman or sulky for decorative stitching.

I have found a new 60 wt piecing thread called Efina by Wonderfil. It's Egyptian cotton I like it better then Aurifil. I was lucky to purchase the 5 spool pack from Catherine Redford.
