so I know they will be done by next Christmas. She is 5 hrs. away from DE where I am, she is in Somerset Co. in Pa.
so I may take them to her on Wed. if it doesn't snow. My hubby hates to drive in the snow. He is a winner though, can you see him washing my hair and my back? I mentioned that in quilt club in Dec. (I missed July-Nov.) and the girls at my table said their husbands would pay for a nurse first. Thank God I had him, as well as a driver to quilt club, a good member of Ladybug Quilt Guild. I sure enjoyed reading this board thru my illness. Great pics too. Thank you all!
Hope 2016 brings good health to you--I've had a similar year and am determined that I'm going to manage what has now become chronic blood clots in my leg so that it doesn't hold me back from doing the things I love.
I'm like some of you--can't even think about next Christmas yet!

Christmas houses, a wall quilt with a row or christmas houses.
There are those older/vintage christmas cards which could be made into a quilt.
Panels are always good to work around with. I bought a scrap bag which had a part panel missing a small side piece so think about doing something assymmetrical with that.
I have osteoarthritis struggling with a throw quilt I started on New Years Eve more spring colors, but thinking about seasonal holiday Christmas projects to use up some of my stash.
I have some WIP/UFO christmas items I have got to finish also.

Christmas pillowcases made some of those last two seasons years and will be making few more for the next Christmas.
I also do blocked from smaller sizes leftover fabrics. Our pillows are 60 x 70 cm so a 2/3 yard is 1.

I bought some McKenna Ryan Christmas patterns which I bought on sale. I plan to put them on canvas ready for hanging next year.

In 2014 one of you have posted nice runner with 'trees', since then I have made several and they are still in demand by family. So, I am working on a Christmas table runner for DDIL and I might make one for myself as well. If we get snowed in, I might just keep going. Bought some holiday fabrics form Keepsake Quilting the were on a bit of sale.

I am in Florida just north of Naples --not far from N. FT Myers so I will be waiting for you . Today is the first day
since we arrived on Oct 30 that it is below 80 f. Maybe that is why I haven't been sewing.

Years ago I made each family pillow/toppers. I bought a "travel pillow" from walmart - approx. 14 x 20 - or you could make your own any size or buy a regular pillow form. I wanted a "softer" pillow so that the family could use them on a couch, etc. Then I made little pillowcases - one for each season - Christmas fabric, snowflakes for winter use, Easter for the Easter holiday, Valentines fabric for February, Shamrocks for March, Patriotic for 4th of July, Halloween fabric, Thanksgiving fabric, etc. Whatever fabric that I had. At first I made the pillowcases with very deep hems and then put on two buttons/buttonholes to fasten them on. But, later, just skipped the buttons. That way, they could change pillowcases to match the season. They were a great hit!

I am thinking of making quillows for my three grandchilden, a quilt for our son and a lapquilt for my dear friend. Some mugrugs would be great too. Now I got to get busy on this.

Here's a tutorial for a Christmas tree block that might work for a table runner.

You might want to search on Pinterest. There are usually a lot of ideas on there for whatever you might be interested in.
