I had six out of eight rows completed on my quilt. I completed the other two rows and sewed them together and went to sew them onto the original six. The two new rows are a block shorter than the original six. And of course it's much more complicated than just sewing on another block. Ripping, Ripping, Ripping......... ARGH!!! No sympathies please, just send chocolate.

Pink-faced admission: That has happened to me too OR I realized that a block or two were just wrong. I did not rip the entire row but just enough to take out the bad parts and set in the new. The only downside to that method is that the seams don't fall in the same direction throughout.

Along with the chocolate, I am sending hugs. It happens to the finest and most prepared as well. Now would be a great time to go scrub your bathroom with a vengence. Take out your frustration on the toilet, and not yourself. :-)

I did that once--just added two little blocks to add with name and date, etc. so it would look deliberate!
but of course it depends on the design....
Other times, the ripper gets worn out....

Quilty hugs to you! One night I was so tired that I shouldve stopped sewing. I had a block with pieced units around a solid center. The center was too big but looloobelle here actually just kept going and put a pleat in it. What was I thinking?!? So better to do the ripping now, no fudging, you'll be happier later.
