    Default Attic windows

Does anyone have a good suggestions for quilting the attic windows quilts using the panels? Just wondering how most people do them. I would think in the ditch but just curoius what other people are doing. Thanks.

does each panel have something that 'in the ditch' would work on?
usually an allover larger meander does not take away from the pattern

I have made a few over the years, have always stitched it so the window sides are accented, pushing the inside of the window forward, if that makes sense without a visual.

I always wanted to make one. I forget when I start another quilt. I would probably do a large FMQ, that is my favorite quilting design.

    Yes I think it does.

My window sills and frames had a wood look, so I free motioned a wood pattern in them. the inside of the windows had a deer scene, so I just stitched around the area I wanted to highlight- the heads, main branches etc. It just depends on your particular panel and how large the items are.

I would definitely stitch in the ditch around the window frames, then highlight what ever is in your "windows" by stitching around the parts you want to stand out. Hope that makes sense!

I think stitching in the ditch for the frames would look good. Then you might do a meander in each "window". That would be very simple.
