    Default Baby Lock Jazz II

Today.i am going to look at a Baby Lock Jazz II and was wondering if anyone has experience with this machine. What are your thoughts about it. The Pfaff machine I now have is starting to fail me and I would like to get another machine for quilting.

I have the Babylock Allegro and I really like it. I've had it almost two years and haven't had any problems with it. I do all my FM quilting on it. I do not make huge quilts, just small lap size for donations for children. I had to read and reread the manual often when I first got it because it was a bit different than my other machines. I ordered it online because I couldn't find a Babylock dealer near me in Florida.

I have read many complain about the tension issues with the Jazz old and new models. For machine quilting I prefer the Juki 2010. It has speed control and you can buy the ext table to fit and a sideways quilting foot if you want to turn the machine long ways to quilt.

There have been a few discussions about the Jazz II here that might be helpful?
As you can see, these comments range in age from 2016 through now, so you can see if people are happier now than they were then or not.

there are several other discussions here on QB....tension seems to be the biggest issue, and when they get that issue resolved, people seem happy... some people have had no tension issues at all. Some want more bells and whistles....Jazz II is straight stitch only....

Sorry to say this is incorrect.

I just bought the BL Jazz 2 a couple of months ago, so far I like it. I have a Brother PQ1500 and LOVE that machine, but it's a straight-stitch only. I wanted a machine very similar - larger throat, mechanical not digital, basic, nothing fancy, but I needed the zigzag, buttonhole, etc stitches. I do not use it for quilting (I have a longarm for that). The BL Jazz 2 checked all the boxes except for one - it doesn't have a thread cutter. But I can live with that.

I have the original Jazz and have had zero problems with it. One of the best machines I have owned.

    Default I like mine

I bought a jazz2 during covid online. At first I had trouble with the tension when fmg. I played with it and adjusted it until I found the right mix of tension and foot pressure. Once I found it, it's my favorite machine for fmq. I love the throat space and it was reasonably priced
